Seventeen months after the birth of my sweet, sweet Pookie I decided it was time to take a family vacation. So what better family vacation than a good old Oregon Goonies vacation!? That's right - the birthplace of the iconic 1985 movie was just a 4 hour drive away. And what a trip it turned out to be! Astoria, Seaside, Cannon Beach, and Tillamook gave us The Goonies, a wild family beach scene, breath taking vistas, and the one and only Tillamook ice cream and cheese factory, respectively. And how about those squished pennies? Oh yes, Pookie and I added more squished pennies to our collection than we could ever imagine.. Plus, the whole thing took less than a weekend. Gotta love the Pacific Northwest!
