Leavenworth
Bavaria
in Washington
State
October 21, 2007

Bavarian style facades
dominate the Leavenworth scenery.
Nestled east of Stevens' Pass, north of the Wenatchee
State Forest is a little piece of Bavaria in Washington state.
A cross between Germany and the German section of Busch Gardens
this small theme town is built on creating Germany in America.
Kitsch pervades as do the tourists with Oktoberfest and leaf
peepers ruling the fall season. Nearby skiing as well hiking
and river rafting ensure Leavenworth sees action all four
seasons.
