Fremont Heartiness

Fremont's Yak's serves up a hearty, tasty teriyaki meal certain to satisfy. No frills with this one as the $6.29 plus tax teriyaki hits the spot.

All the necessary attributes are on display in Yak's Chicken T. The mostly white meat chicken is nicely grilled and covered in a tasty sweet teriyaki glaze. The white rice is light and fluffy. The accompanying side salad is made up of crispy iceberg lettuce with a creamy lemon ranch dressing. Together the ingredients form a taste that is easy to praise as high end teriyaki.

Where Yak's doesn't go the extra distance is in portions. Extra sauces are stuffed in the main carton taking up valuable main course space. The salad is in likewise high abundance somewhat stealing room from the chicken and rice. Overall though, the lack of extras is more obvious to the eye than the stomach. When I was finished eating I was satisfied and really, most times that is all that matters.
