"Stick
with the Short Stack"
Known for its breakfast served from
7am-3pm daily, The Shanty Cafe also has a French Dip on
the menu. For just $7.95 you get the sandwich with roast
beef and butter on the roll and choice of fries or salad.
The roast beef was slightly over cooked and a little tough
for my taste. The bun was your average hoagie roll. Where's
the baguette? The au jus was the best part of this French
Dip- it was not overly salty and it had a good flavor.
I would go for the short stack or chicken fried steak
at The Shanty Cafe but if you're in the mood for a reasonably
priced French Dip this one is OK.
Meat = 0.5
Bread = 0.5
Au Jus = 0.75
Cost/Quantity = 0.75
Total = 2.5
