Pecan Pie
Ingredients:
1 cup light corn syrup, 1 cup firmly packed dark brown
sugar, 3 slightly beaten eggs, 1/3 cup melted butter, 1/3 tea
spoon salt, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 heaping cup pecan halves, 1
9" unbaked pie crust.
Cooking Instruction:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl mix well corn syrup,
sugar, eggs, butter, salt, and vanilla. Pour filling into pie
crust. Sprinkle pecan halves on top of filling. Bake at 350 degress
45-50 minutes until center sets. If pie appears too brown
after checking at 20 and 30 minutes or so, cover pie with foil
for the remaining time. If cooking with an electric oven
you may need to add 15-20 additional minutes to cooking time.
Let pie cool after removing from oven.
Serve with whipped cream on top if the
mood strikes.
