Cellular Breakdown Breaking News!

September 10, 2007

The West Coast Version of Cellular Breakdown, edited by Scott Muoio and featuring the music of Jason Ochs, is now complete. View our new 30 second trailer below and stay tuned for show dates and times.

East Coast Premiere Thursday,
September 13th!

After spending countless hours slaving away to finish an 11 minute 30 second film, most of the effort spent trying to edit out my thumb from in front of the lens, "Cellular Breakdown" is officially in the can* and ready for screening. I'm planning on bringing this baby into the world on Thursday, September 13th at 8:30pm in the basement of the Cantab in Central Square. An improv comedy cabal by the name of "Bastards, Inc" www.bastardsinccomedy.com have a weekly performance, and they're putting the movie on the schedule that night, probably while the other acts are getting coked up in back. Attendance is, of course, mandatory and make sure to forward this on and bring anyone else you think might have a subtle sense of humor and a taste for refined art. (If they don't like the movie, you'll know you were wrong about them.)

Here's a little blurb they'll use in the Sundance program: Cellular Breakdown stars Rick Richter in the role of Max, a man who finds his increasingly frayed connection to society only further damaged by the very technology intended to connect us, and features two great songs from the smash local band "Gladiola" and a couple of other not completely crappy songs by yours truly.

Here's the info:
Thursday, Sept 13
Downstairs at the Cantab Lounge
, Cambridge, MA
738 Mass Ave (located in central square, 1 block west of the central sq. t stop)
Show starts at 8:30PM
Call me, Pete Septoff, at 617-699-6904 if you have any questions.

Finally, this will set you back three bucks, which probably goes straight up the noses of bastards, inc...so at least its for a good cause.

*(For those who don't know, "in the can" is movie lingo for complete, it originated in the late 1890's when films were often stored in outhouses to keep them safe from the elements and marauding bears who loved the taste of celluloid. This practice ended when people figured out the humid environment and general stinkyness ruined the film experience for everyone. Luckily, we live in the digital age so this is not a problem. Nobody stinks anymore.)
