Maybe I didn't love you quite as much as I should

Willie Nelson's
Country Peach Cobbler

Blue Eyes Crying in the Cobbler

Willie Nelson adds his name to the Ben and Jerry's catalogue with Country Peach Cobbler. While Willie's namesake is a fun flavor it is far from worthy of entry into the annals of B&J fame.

The peach ice cream that makes up the bulk of Willie's flavor is OK but isn't creamy enough or biting enough to stand out.

The next element of Wilie's concoction is the peach piece swirl, which in theory should add a lot of pop to the proceedings. However, the pieces are either too small, too bland, or too nonexistent to really spice things up.

The last addition to Willie's ice cream are cinnamon-sugar shortbread pieces. Like many of B&J's flavors, it's the little doo dads that are top notch, and these pieces are no exception. Sadly, though they aren't in great enough abundance to mean much. For shame really because with enough presence and the right ice cream base they could have been a contender.

The final verdict: you'll love Willie's shortbread but most likely find your carton of Willie's Country Peach Cobbler meeting the same fate as mine: succumbing to freezer burn before you finish it off. And that's no way to treat a national treasure.
