Moving up to super middleweight
(168 lbs) after two losses to Kelly Pavlik at middleweight
(160 lbs), Jermaine Taylor returned to form schooling
former titlest Jeff Lacy Saturday in Nashville, TN. Aside
from a peculiar fifth round knockdown that was ruled a
slip, the fight entirely belonged to Taylor.
With circling movement, a pin point
jab, and exceptionally fast hands unloading a variety
of power punches Taylor dominated the game Lacy. For his
part, Lacy fought hard but with a leaky defense and plodding
style he was no match for the exceedingly quick and determined
Taylor.
Taylor moves to
28-2-1 (17 KO)
Lacy falls to 24-2
(17 KO)
Here is the official
scoring of the fight:
119-109, 119-109,
118-110 (All Three Judges for Taylor)
