I Fred Meyer Supermarkets
November 21, 2007

Factoid #13

by Scott Muoio

The easily redeemable rebates flow with the Fred Meyer rewards program.

A visit to the supermarket can be a daunting and stressful task. Between the numerous aisles, frantic customers, overhead lighting, annoying discount cards, and all manner of aggravating distractions some all but bawl in their hands at the mere thought of an evening at the grocery. Not so if one lives in Seattle. Here we have the greatest supermarket of them all: Fred Meyer!

Up front I must admit: I love Fred Meyer. The store that I frequent, off 36th Street in Ballard, is nothing short of breathtaking. Anything you want will surely be found at Fred Meyer. From cutlery to fresh seafood, University of Washington paraphernalia to organic avocados, a chocolate brown leather couch to delicious bags of Tim’s Cascade Luau Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips and on and on and on, all is available, fresh, and delicious at Fred Meyer. And not only will one find the best prices (by a landslide) but you don’t even need a Rewards Card to receive their discounts. Sure, Fred Meyer offers discount cards just like every other supermarket, but rather than force you to use them to get discounts off jacked up prices they instead use your swipes and total monthly and quarterly purchases to determine how much additional savings certificates they will later send you in the mail. Besides an ensemble of very generous offers, my latest Rewards News Letter contained rebates for $7.50 straight up on my next purchase, no strings attached. Now that’s convenience and generosity of the highest order!

With Fred Meyer, convenience and savings go hand-in-hand without the hassle and fuss of most other supermarkets. From the friendly employees to the great selection to the revelatory rewards program, Fred Meyer provides customers with the greatest grocery shopping experience of their lives. Quite simply, Fred Meyer is the king of all super supermarkets.

I being congratulated for spending lots of money!
