Team Domination, this night going
under the name "Chris Benoit Balls" nearly shocked the
South End Wednesday night with a gutsy display of pop culture
trivia knowledge. Digging themselves an early hole with careless
point wagering, the elite quiz meisters rallied strong and nearly
won the whole shebang. With all the marbles falling on the final
two questions, Team Domination aced both only to be upstaged by
Mr. T's Team who also correctly answered the pair. With the two
teams wagering an equal 20 point maximum the result was heartbreaking:
Mr. T's Team pulls out a one point victory and Team Domination
goes home with a fifty dollar 2nd place gift certificate and a
hollow heart.
Nothing to be ashamed of, the
second place finish out of 44 teams and 128 score out of a possible
140, is a strong performance for this rag tag group of over achievers.
While room exists for improvement the foundation is unquestionably
here for a mighty run of trivia greatness during the summer season.
After tonight's favorable performance, there is no telling the
heights this team may travel in future competitions. We at Undependent
Media salute all members and look forward to future competition
and thrills.
